Our History

Having been in residential real estate since 1988, Mike Reid has been the sole owner of Ultimate Properties since 1994. Mike, alongside his wife Vanessa, managed 200 properties, launching their lifelong business specializing in residential property management.

Today, this family run-business has tripled in size, managing over 1000 single family properties. With over 15+ employees and over $600 million worth of assets under their management, Ultimate Properties continues to grow and thrive.

This dependable family business not only has over 35 years of experience in real estate, but Ultimate Properties has been accredited with an A+ Better Business Bureau rating since 1995.

I have lived in Arizona for over 50 years and began my real estate and property management career in 1988. I became the sole owner of Ultimate Properties in 1994. Together with my wife, Vanessa, we built Ultimate Properties into the thriving family-run company it is today. With over 35 years’ of experience in real estate, I am an expert in rental real estate and sales in the Phoenix-metro area.

When I am not helping families and investors find the right home, I enjoy spending time with my wife and all of our 16 grandchildren. I am a dedicated Phoenix Suns fan and spend the Arizona winters on the golf course. In the summer months, I enjoy traveling with my wife and taking many photos on the way.

Ryan Reid

I am an Arizona-born native, raised in the Valley of the Sun. I am no stranger to real estate; my family has been in property management and real estate for over 35 years. With a natural talent and interests in managing homes, I decided to get involved with the family business. I earned a Bachelor Degree in Property Management from Colorado Technical University and my MBA from University of Phoenix.

I am part businessman, husband, and father. I love spending time with my beautiful wife, Briana, and our four beautiful children: I enjoy playing and watching local sports. You can often catch me in the crowds attending a Phoenix Suns basketball game. I am a sociable, people-person who loves getting to know individuals of varied backgrounds. I enjoy the number crunching of my profession and being a valuable resource in helping my clients make smart real estate decisions.

I’m a proud parent of four wonderful kids and a delighted grandparent to eight amazing grandkids. Family is everything to me, and I cherish the time we spend together. I love watching movies with my beautiful wife; there’s nothing better than cozying up on the couch with some popcorn and our favorite films. When I’m not at home, you’ll likely find me on the golf course, enjoying a good game and the great outdoors. I also have a passion for cooking—there’s something so rewarding about whipping up a delicious meal for close friends and my loved ones. Life is all about creating memories, and I’m grateful for every moment!

I have a background in aerospace, vendor relations, supply chain management and extensive experience in operational excellence. Additionally, my experience in higher education has equipped me with a strong foundation in project management, collaborative problem-solving and developing strategic partnerships.

I currently have an MBA from Grand Canyon University.
